THE TAX PROPOSAL ~ WITH MP DELL

Hi everyone! This week we bring you an article about a very interesting conversation we had with MP Benjamin Dell, the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee. During the talk he congratulated us on our hard work, trying to provide you, our readers with the best-updated information. In the two hours of conversation that we had, we talked about various topics. Ideas about what Asgardia has to do to be recognized and in this we reached the unanimous conclusion that for this we not only need ideas, but we also need to execute them! But of course, it will be hard with the entire international scene being eclipsed by COVID-19 and the continuing violence on the rise due to the current political-social problems. It is said that from the ashes the phoenix will rise again. So we should use these problems and use them as an advantage for the establishment of Asgardia.

Currently, some types of tax advantages for companies are being discussed, which are being tested in some companies in Seychelles and Cyprus. This goes unsaid, but if you want to work within the Asgardian ecosystem and benefit from these tax rates, you need to be an Asgardian or a resident. But of course, we don't want to stop people, but rather create new contacts. They could be done through intermediaries who are existing Asgardians. Existing corporations may choose an existing Asgardian to act as an intermediary to represent the brand in their stead. Upon gaining permission as a business-partnership between said brand and Asgardia, they will gain access to the completely organic consumer base of over a million people from all across the globe.

It is all because we are not yet a recognized nation, that is why we give so much importance to our growing economy. To be able to create new projects and even start those that we have had on stand-by.

Currently, there is a proposal underway on the tax rates that might be applied. Here are some disclosed details:

1. People who work in public service or in an Asgardian company will have their salaries assessed.
   

2. A type of transaction fee will be discussed, with a style similar to that of PayPal.
   

3. One of the current problems is that the vast majority of taxes are paid by ordinary people. The goal is to make most of the taxes paid by the companies themselves.
   

4. Income tax is thought to be a flat-rate tax. No matter what you earn, your percentage will always be the same.
   

5. It is being debated on how you can pay taxes only once, either in Asgardia or in your local country. It should not be necessary to pay taxes twice.
   

6. A way is being sought to secure jobs in Asgardia. Possible companies that recruit from Asgardians and cater to everyone.
   

The subject of discussion on whether the profit of companies should be limited has been put on the table. This is still a delicate issue as it seems to be directly contradictory to the economic prosperity of the nation. One of the important things that anyone should have in knowledge is, if someone wants to start a business and uses the official symbols of Asgardia, they must first have the permission of the administration and then in tax terms, for the use of the logos 18% will be imposed per usage and a 10% exchange tax rate (flat-rate charged on any type of transaction).

We would also like to state that; Encourage people to support Asgardian businesses as this will help Asgardia benefit, and indirectly all the members in this nation.
